Fr. Pavone Calls for Public Christian Burial of Aborted Babies

STATEN ISLAND, NY, Feb. 24 /Christian Newswire/ -- Fr. Frank Pavone,
National Director of Priests for Life, said today that the 24 bodies of
dead babies found in the freezer of a Philadelphia abortion clinic
should be given a reverent burial as soon as possible, and that this
should be a public event in which people can mourn the loss of these lives.

"The disrespect that the abortion industry has for the human body is
seen not only in the fact that they kill these children, but also in how
they treat their bodies after death," Fr. Pavone explained. "It is time
now for the bodies of these children to be honored with a dignified
burial. It should be a public event, so that our nation will have the
opportunity to see that abortion is not an abstraction, and so that
people can make up in some fashion for the disrespect with which these
children have been treated."

Fr. Pavone has conducted a number of funerals around the country for
children whose bodies were recovered from abortion clinic trash
dumpsters. "Next to killing the children, there's nothing that the
abortion industry wants more than to keep the violence hidden. Our
responsibility is to expose it," Fr. Pavone concluded.

*Obama's healthcare plan - 'more of the same'

One News Now
The nation's largest faith-based association of physicians is weighing
in on President Obama's nearly $1-trillion healthcare proposal. Dr.
David Stevens, CEO of the Christian Medical & Dental Associations
(CMDA), says the president's plan is "essentially more of the same -- a
tweaking of the Senate Bill and grabbing a few things out of the House
bill." The CEO says he and most members of his organization are
concerned that there is nothing in this latest proposal on healthcare
reform about discrimination against medical practitioners based on their
religious or moral beliefs. They are worried, he notes, that the Obama
plan will essentially replace healthcare right-of-conscience protections
with something much weaker.

CBS 3
Philadelphia and federal authorities who raided a doctor's office after
allegations a woman died during an abortion made a shocking discovery:
more than two dozen frozen fetuses. For the second time in four days,
Philadelphia Police, along with State Licensing officials and DEA
agents, searched the West Philadelphia office of Dr. Kermit Gosnell on
Monday. Sources also told Eyewitness News that during the search,
investigators recovered more than two dozen fetuses stored in a freezer,
some dating back 30 years.

"We're seeing an increasing awareness of the very real health risks
associated with [abortifacient] hormonal birth control," said Marie
Hahnenberg, project director of American Life League's The Pill Kills
project. "For years, criticism of birth control has been a sacrosanct
topic, but the victims of hormonal birth control are too numerous to
ignore any longer."

*Victory: Planned Parenthood closes Hazelton, PA facility*

PP of Northeast and Mid-Penn closed
<http://ss.all.org/link.php?M=110638&N=658&L=4634&F=H> its Hazelton
facility recently, citing "tough economic times and lack of funding."
The facility had been in operation for more than 30 years.

TFP-America Needs Fatima started a rosary vigil
<http://ss.all.org/link.php?M=110638&N=658&L=4636&F=H>at the facility
nine months prior to the closing. Congratulations Walter Camier, Jose
Ferraz, and all those who prayed and worked to close this facility. The
rosary has proven time and time again to be a tremendous weapon in the
fight against Planned Parenthood.
