*Swiss Woman's Death Linked to Hormonal Contraceptive*
October 14, 2009 (LifeSiteNews.com <http://www.lifesitenews.com/>) - The
Swiss government is linking a woman's death to the popular birth control
product Yaz made by Bayer Pharmaceuticals.
The woman died of a pulmonary embolism in June, just 10 months after
starting the hormonal contraceptive.
The government agency, Swissmedic has launched an investigation into the
death. The agency stated on its website that "thromboembolic
complications are rare but well-known complications associated" with
hormonal contraceptives. Between January 1, 2005, and April 15, 2009,
stated Swissmedic, there were a total of 691 reports of suspected
adverse reactions linked to contraceptives in Sweden, of which 49 were
venous thromboembolism.
The agency also related 9 deaths from pulmonary embolism associated with
the contraceptives since 1990.
Last month American Life League (ALL), which has a program highlighting
the risks involved in hormonal contraceptives, reported that Patti
Kelly, 28, of Austin, Texas was diagnosed in August with multiple blood
clots in both lungs. Her doctor told her that if she hadn't come into
the emergency room when she did, she "could have died instantly." Her
doctor attributed the blood clots to her use of hormonal contraceptives.

No Evil' for the sake of their birth control agenda, women are dying,"
said Marie Hahnenberg, ALL's director of The Pill Kills project. "How
long are they going to hide the dangerous side effects of birth control?
How many more women have to die?"
Other side effects of hormonal contraceptives include increased risk of
cancer, bone loss and cerebral hemorrhage.
"The big pharmaceutical companies, feminists and the pro-abortion lobby
are busy convincing us that birth control allows us to have perfectly
planned life," Hahnenberg said. "But the truth is birth control is
dangerous and sometimes deadly and women deserve the truth - now."

*Susan G. Komen Foundation still funds Planned Parenthood*
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Pro-life citizens who are interested in fighting this deadly disease
should be aware that Susan G. Komen for the Cure has a policy of
explicitly allowing its state affiliates to give monetary grants to

Not all state affiliates give grants to Planned Parenthood using the 75
percent of the funds that they raise in a state. However, each state
affiliate must forward at least 25 percent of funds raised in their
state to the Komen National office. These funds are under the discretion
of a board that refuses to disassociate itself from Planned Parenthood
as shown by the facts below:
· Planned Parenthood is the number one provider of abortions in
the United States. During its 2005-2006 fiscal year, the nonprofit
Planned Parenthood Federation of America performed a record 264,943
abortions according to its annual report.
· At least 13 Susan G. Komen for the Cure affiliates have
awarded at least 55 grants to Planned Parenthood affiliates during the
years 2000 through 2005. These grants are reported on the Susan G. Komen
Web site by entering "Planned Parenthood" on Komen's searchable grant page.
· Komen claims that money raised by affiliates who give money
grants to Planned Parenthood is for breast services only. However,
Planned Parenthood documents in its 2005-2006 annual report that 9,900
more abortions were performed and 81,500 fewer breast exams were
provided in 2005 than in 2004.
[Lest we forget, what of the ABC Link deniers, failing to fully inform
women a significant risk for breast cancer is attached to elective
abortion and use of the known class I carcinogens loaded in
abortifacients known as so-called oral "contraceptives"].

physical or mental dependency, or method of reproduction, from the
beginning of their biological development, including fertilization*

forward to passage and approval of this historic statement of
recognition for each human being in the state of Michigan. The current
Personhood Resolution is not only in agreement with the attitudes of our

natural law and fundamental to justice for all. Every person's human
rights, equal rights and civil rights should be recognized in law and
