*Pharmacists can't refuse abortifacient Plan B pill, appeals court says*

LA Times
Pharmacists are obliged to dispense the Plan B pill, even if they are
personally opposed to the so-called"morning after" abortifacient on
religious grounds, a federal appeals court ruled Wednesday. In a case
that could affect policy across the western U.S., a supermarket pharmacy
owner in Olympia, WA, failed in a bid to block 2007 regulations that
required all Washington pharmacies to stock and dispense the pills. The
full lawsuit will continue and its merits have not been adjudicated to
date...

Life Site News
The pattern of abuse at a Rockford abortion facility has continued after
an employee allegedly struck with his car a homeless man praying with
pro-life protesters, and drove away, according to witnesses at the
scene. The vehicle reportedly struck Scott Griffin on Wednesday as it
drove into the driveway of the abortion facility, where pro-lifers say
workers frequently drive recklessly in an apparent attempt to intimidate
those praying and handing out pro-life literature.
*Hologic gets FDA approval for birth-control system

*Hologic has received marketing approval from the FDA for its
contraception system. Called Adiana, the device permanently stops
reproduction by applying a low level of radiofrequency energy to a small
part of each fallopian tube, after which a tiny insert is left in each
fallopian tube and new tissue forms around it. The tissue completely
blocks the fallopian tubes, permanently preventing conception. American

*POPE BENEDICT XVI GREETS ABORTOHOLIC OBAMA WITH LETTER ON HUMAN DIGNITY
*
*Washington, DC (10 July 2009)* -- American Life League's executive
director Shaun Kenney issued the following statement regarding President
Barack Obama's meeting today with Pope Benedict XVI. The Holy Father
gave the president an autographed copy of "Dignitas Personae" -- the
Vatican document regarding the dignity of the human person.
"While we may never know precisely what was discussed between the
President and the Holy Father, the gift of "Dignitas Personae" was much
more than a booklet.
"Whether we discuss the recent G8 conference or this week's promulgation
of "Caritas in Veritate," true human development can only be discussed
in the context of full recognition of human rights. Pope Benedict XVI's
gift to Obama is a gift for those who wish to understand the Catholic
position on human rights, especially for the victims of abortion whose
rights are continually denied every day.
"Only in the context of human dignity can there be any true progress.
Pope Benedict XVI's spirited defense of the preborn is a golden example
to all Catholics in the United States as we continue to vigorously
discuss, and at times challenge, Obama's social agenda."
