A Special Plea from No Assisted Suicide in WA:

Dear Pharmacists and Friends,

I am writing with an urgent plea for your help. Please don't skip
reading this message for a better time, your help is needed now!

National groups that promote assisted suicide and euthanasia are
pouring *millions of dollars* into Washington state, as they try to pass
a voter initiative to legalize physician-assisted suicide (Initiative
1000). More than $4.8 million has been raised for their deadly crusade.

The American Medical Association opposes assisted suicide, and so does
the Washington State Medical Association. Yet because of the money
raised by the other side, there is a serious danger this deadly
initiative might become law. **The polls show the race is very close.**

The Coalition Against Assisted Suicide (CAAS) is the group in
Washington that is working around the clock to defeat this measure.
They've produced some powerful TV ads, including one featuring Emmy
Award winning actor Martin Sheen. These ads have made a tremendous
impact on public opinion, and you can view them on-line at
www.NoAssistedSuicide.com <http://www.noassistedsuicide.com/>

The Coalition needs to raise **$70,000 in the next few days** to help
pay for the final week of TV and radio ads that are crucial to defeating
this measure at the ballot box.

**I urge you to make a donation**, of whatever amount you can afford, to
help our allies in Washington state prevail in this crucial fight. You
can visit the CAAS website at www.NoAssistedSuicide.com
<http://www.noassistedsuicide.com/> and make an on-line donation using a
credit card. Contributing on the website is better right now, since the
funds can be used immediately to buy media ads. However, you can also
contribute by check and send it to the Coalition Against Assisted
Suicide, PO Box 11794, Olympia, WA 98508.

Advocates of assisted suicide have a strategy to legalize this practice
in a select few target states, and then use these victories to build
momentum for passing assisted suicide laws throughout the U.S. ** If
Initiative 1000 passes in Washington, then assisted suicide proposals
will soon begin spreading throughout the country.**

Years from now, we don't want to be in the position of looking back at
2008 and wondering if we could have stopped assisted suicide with just a
little extra effort**.** History is in our hands, and we must spare no
effort or expense in our effort to defeat this terribly misguided
initiative.

Please visit _www.NoAssistedSuicide.com
<http://www.noassistedsuicide.com/> _and join in the battle. It's
literally a matter of life and death. Thank you!
