*PharmFacts E-News Update -- 11 Oct 2008 AD

**NB: ALL's statement of support for SDRTL mirrors that of PFLI: 100%
total protection for all our preborn brothers and sisters, including
those created of crimes such as rape and incest, those subject to
chemical abortions by poser "contraceptives" and those manipulated in
artificial conditions such as IVF procedures, cloning and other
violations of Divine and natural law. Laws based on capitulation of
principle and "fake science" cannot and should not garner support.

This proposal as well as recent ones in GA and CO _started_ from a
premise of weakness and compromise to which PFLI cannot subscribe. It is
unfortunate and a shame some groups chose the opportunity this past week
to attack and smear SDRTL because of its principled stance.

ALL SUPPORTS SOUTH DAKOTA RIGHT TO LIFE'S OPPOSITION TO MEASURE 11

*Washington, D.C. (10 October 2008)* -- American Life League joined
South Dakota Right to Life in opposing Initiative 11, the so-called
"abortion ban."
*
Initiative 11 specifically allows for abortions in cases of rape, incest
and health of the mother.*

"South Dakota's preborn children deserve better than this," said Judie
Brown, president of American Life League. "This initiative is based on
the assumption that some lives are more valuable than others and that
wantedness determines a child's right to live. All of South Dakota's
preborn children deserve protection under the law -- regardless of how
they were conceived."

A South Dakota abortion law that protected preborn life from surgical
abortion and was supported by South Dakota Right to Life and American
Life League was narrowly overturned in 2006. Organizers of the 2006 ban
then put forward Initiative 11 which specifically allows for the
abortion of babies conceived in rape and incest or that threaten the
life or health of the mother.

South Dakota Right to Life, the state's oldest and largest pro-life
organization opposed the initiative:

"... because it names specific lives expendable, those conceived from
rape or incest and those who threaten their mother's health," the group
said in a statement.

"American Life League agrees," Brown said. "This measure allows for the
murder of those weakest and most vulnerable among us and we join SDRTL
in calling for a complete ban that does not compromise those innocent
lives we're sworn to protect."
